Transition Years Filming 2000-2001.

In the past few years Transition Year Students have been taking Film Studies classes.  Teachers Willie Quinlan, and Katrina Foley, have been teaching students how to operate filming equipment such as cameras and editing equipment etc., which are supplied by the school.

So far this year we have learned how to make a film from scratch.  This includes the script, the equipment needed, the props, and the jobs which people have to do such as; director, cameraman, actors and even sound.  To make a film takes a lot of group co-operation.

Despite a shaky start we managed to successfully complete a couple of short film’s and documentaries.

For the past few years, we have successfully entered films in the Limerick Film Festival.
